NOWI has over 15 years of experience as a NYSSHP grantee (New York State Supportive Housing Program) providing supportive services for our residents to remain stably housed. We currently have 28 NYSSHP family units and 57 NYSSHP single adult units. Neighbors of Watertown, Inc. provides safe, affordable, permanent supportive housing; case management staff work with our residents in identifying and eliminating barriers that contribute to housing instability.
Case Management provides supportive services for individuals living in our NYSSHP apartments. We provide assistance to our clients on the following topics: budgeting/financial assistance, benefit/entitlement, Self-sufficiency services, Employment enhancement and retention, Social/recreational and Educational services. Case management coordinates with local agencies to ensure the success of our clients with maintaining stable housing.
Our security staff provide security and support for residents during evening and weekend hours. We also provide afterhours maintenance services.
