Money On Its Way To Help Flood Victims
(WWNY-TV) This spring's flood waters have left a mess all along the Lake Ontario shore line. And there's $7 million already available to help homeowners and some others who've suffered flood damage.
Neighbors of Watertown will handle the money for Oswego, Jefferson and St. Lawrence counties. Thursday night at 6, they'll hold their first meeting at the Chaumont Fire Hall.
"It's not practical. We've got 200 miles from Oswego to Massena and it's not going to be practical for people to come to Watertown to our office," said Gary Beasley, Neighbors of Watertown CEO.
