Neighbors receive $450,000 in state funding

WATERTOWN — Neighbors of Watertown Inc. has obtained $450,000 in state money to rehabilitate 17 owner-occupied houses scattered throughout Jefferson County.

The funds are awarded through New York State Homes and Community Renewal’s Affordable Home Ownership Development Program, administered by the Affordable Housing Corporation.

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo on Tuesday announced a total of $4.4 million in funding to help 170 income-eligible families across the state under the program.
