(WWNY-TV)The head of Neighbors of Watertown is calling it a career after 38 years at the helm.
Gary Beasley told 7 News over the weekend about his plans to retire.
Neighbors has played an instrumental role in helping create more affordable housing in the city for low-income residents. The organization has also fixed up blighted properties.
Beasley says he'll be leaving Neighbors in good shape.
"We've gotten a lot of wonderful projects done," he said. "I've got a wonderful staff that can carry it forward and a great board of directors, so the time is right."
