North Country homeowners and homebuyers will continue to be able to receive counseling about their purchases, thanks to a grant from the federal government.

Neighbors of Watertown will be getting $50,000 from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development for the program.
The classes are designed to tell people what they need to know when buying a home and how to avoid pitfalls.
Neighbors of Watertown Executive Director Gary Beasley says he was delighted to hear about the grant.
"This grant is recognition by HUD of the quality of our program, that our staff has credentials, and that we're following their education guidelines," says Beasley.
Beasley says there is a high demand for the program.
Neighbors of Watertown holds classes at least once a month, and sometimes more classes are added.
