The Center for Community Studies at Jefferson Community College under the leadership of Dr. Richard Halpin, is a tremendous community resource.  "Sound decision making requires good information" states Dr. Halpin.  The need for good information led the City to contract with the Center for Community Studies to conduct the housing condition survey and compile the results  for Avalon Associates to incorporate into the NESNID Strategic Plan.

January 2, 2002

Gary Beasley and Greg Netto, of Neighbors Of Watertown,  conducted a training session on evaluating housing conditions in the Marcy Building conference facility for the students doing the field work.

Joel LaLone and Dr. Halpin trained the group on gathering statistical information and what would be done with it.
